Questions for Personal Reflection/Group Discussion
1. In this sermon, it was suggested that “joy” may be defined as possessing “a supernatural happiness”. Again, a genuine happiness of heart and soul that is not dependent on circumstances but on Jesus. What do you think?
2. In your own words, what IS the “good news of great joy which will be for all the people?”
3. What does it mean that Jesus is the Christ, or Anointed One? What hope is found in knowing that He is Lord of all?
4. What are some of the false gospels out there? That is, “good news” promising temporary happiness/joy?
5. Why must we as Christians pursue the happiness/joy that is in Jesus? List at least 2-3 reasons.
