FAQ
What is The Alliance Church all about?
We're just an ordinary group of people striving together to KNOW Jesus Christ personally and passionately, GROW to be like Him in community with others, and GO serve Him in ministry and mission.
What time are your services?
Our service times are as follows:
Sunday, 9:00am - Sunday School (for all ages)
Sunday, 10:30 - Worship Service
Wednesday, 7:00pm - Prayer and Praise Service
What are the Sunday AM services like?
We seek to have two primary elements in our weekend services - engaging worship and a life-changing message. Led by a live band, the worship is a blend of both contemporary and traditional expressions of worship. The messages are most often taught by Pastor Jim Moynihan who seeks to passionately and creatively teach the Bible (click here for current sermon series). The services last approximately 75-90 minutes. Finally, there is no "dress code" - you may come however you feel most comfortable.
Is there anything for my kids?
Yes! We have developed exciting, kid-friendly and safe environments for ages 6 weeks and up. Children Nursery-Preschool will be cared for during both Sunday School and the worship service. Children K-5th grades attend "Discovery Place" [click here for more info] during the Sunday School hour and join their parents for the worship service. We seek to follow PA childcare guidelines for leader/child ratios and all of our regular ministry volunteers have undergone background checks to assure your child's safety.
What about my kids who are in middle school or high school?
Middle School and High School youth meet separately during the Sunday School hour and then join their parents for the worship service. Youth group is held Sunday evenings from 6pm-8:00pm at the church.
Is there someone there I can ask if I need help?
Don't worry! When you enter at either the upper (handicap) or lower entrances, a smiling face will be there to answer your question or to help point you in the right direction.
