CARE Teams: Visitation
Who We Are
The Visitation Team GO serve Christ by ministering the elderly in our congregation who are "shut-ins" and those members who are in the hospital. This is done under the oversight of the Deacons and Deaconesses.
What We Do
We go make someone's day! Showing up to play games, sing songs, serve communion, or read Scripture is such a HUGE blessing to the elderly in our church who can’t get out much anymore. We have many young families in our church who have "adopted" a shut-in. Finally, stopping by to visit someone in the hospital brings great encouragement who are struggling physically.
Ways to Get Involved
- Adopt a Shut-in - As an individual, couple, or whole family, adopt an elderly person in our church that you will faithfully pray for, visit, write cards to, etc.
- Serve Communion - Be willing to stop in and share communion with those who are shut-ins (training available if you are interested).
- Hospital Visitation - Be willing to stop in and visit those who find themselves in need of extended medical care.
